They do. I've heard some of the others are more reserved and speak through telepathy, but I've met my own Arehtei in person and she's quite friendly.
Peromei. Her emotions are hope and despair. [Allura's smile grows fond and sends a faint shimmer into the air.] She's also quite adorable.
Let's see... I think the animal she was described as is called a unicorn? And she comes to about my waist at the head, maybe a little smaller.
[She can't help but laugh a little.]
She is indeed. Do you know your alignment yet? It took a while for my crystal to reveal mine, but I've heard it varies from person to person.

Usually your amulet is the best clue.
[She pulls out her own, a pocket watch-looking thing, until she opens the lid and it turns out there's a compass inside instead. And the compass rose is a creamy white crystal cut into the shape of a four-petaled flower.]
The crystal was clear for me when I first arrive, but over time it began to take on its color until I could finally make it out.

[ It's another rough night of dreams that have Ruby tossing and turning. They're full of vivid things that have been becoming clearer night after night - dark things, that she hadn't named to her team or friends because she hadn't wanted to upset them. Things had been emotionally-charged around the house anyway, and far be it from her to add to anyone's burden unnecessarily. After all, they're just dreams, and dreams can't hurt anyone.
Right?
This morning when she wakes, however, things are...different. Or rather, Ruby herself is different. It's evident from the very way that she wakes, slowly sitting up in bed and staring forlornly out the window instead of jumping up and meeting the day head-on. She's...quiet. Very quiet, and thoughtful. Every day she's in Empatheias is a day she's not at home, avenging her sister and bringing justice to the world by stopping the White Fang. It's hard to feel like it's not a waste of time to be here.
But that doesn't mean she can sit and languish, either. That's not what Branwens do. They keep on fighting, despite everything. So with a heavy sigh, Ruby swings her legs off the side of the bed and drops gingerly to the floor.
...That's strange. Why was her bed suspended? It was only her and Weiss in this room.
She realizes all-too-quickly, then, that there's another bed in the room. Another person, and as Ruby swings around to face that person's sleeping form, she's gasps, hands flying to cover her mouth. ]
Y-Yang?!
[ N-no. It...couldn't be. She has to be dreaming still. ]

[ Ruby sees her, hears her, but it can't really be her, can it? Sure, Pyrrha and Penny were here, too, but Ruby had never let herself entertain the thought of Yang being here. It was the loss that had hit her the hardest, and the one that had caused her to turn a corner. That loss has been her driving force for so long, and now she's here, like nothing ever happened, just snoozing away.
Ruby doesn't say anything in response, but Yang may be able to hear the sound of muffled sobs through her dozing. ]

[ There she is again. This can't be happening. Ruby still hadn't finished dealing with her sister being dead. How can she possibly deal with her being alive again?
She covers her face with her hands, a latent instinct telling her to wipe her eyes and smile for her sister. That's what she would've tried to do before, isn't it? But she just can't work it up. So she leaves her face in her hands, shoulders shaking as her palms obscure the sound of her sobbing. ]

[ Ruby doesn't fight it, but when Yang pulls her into a hug, it quickly becomes clear that something...isn't right in the way it feels.
Ruby finally pulls her hands away from her face, looking up into the face of her sister. It feels like getting shot in the heart, and she drops her gaze, focusing instead on what feels off about Yang's hug as her eyes travel the length of Yang's right arm. ]
...Yang...your arm!
[ Why was her arm like this? ]

[ Why was her arm like this? ]
Wh-wh-
[ But she can't quite force the word out, suddenly paralyzed by confusion. It's all too much at once - the presence of her sister, the confounding fact that her arm has been replaced. Adam Taurus had run her through the heart. Nothing happened to her arm. So why would she need something like that?
She's afraid to ask it, but she has to know, so she pushes past the block in hear throat and looks up desperately into her sister's eyes. ]
What happened to it? It - it wasn't your arm -
[ It wasn't her arm that had been taken that night. ]

[ A sob lodges in Ruby's throat when Yang answers, and she has to immediately draw herself back to look at her sister with wide-eyed dismay. That's not what happened. Maybe she didn't know, just like Penny didn't know what had happened to her, but...no.
That doesn't explain the arm.
All at once, everything feels precipitously off-balance, and Ruby has to work her jaw for a moment to get the words out. ]
B-but - Adam Taurus, he - [ She swallows thickly. ] It wasn't just your arm -
[ She can't get out anything else, and the floor turns to ice beneath her. The memory flashes across her mind, unwelcome and cold and harsh, and since she's thinking of Yang, it's shared with her, unintentionally. Ruby looks down on her broken team outside of Beacon, Blake stammering out apologies as she holds onto Yang's hand. But Yang isn't missing her arm. Instead, there's a clear wound over her chest, crimson and red like roses, and she gives off no signs of life.
Ruby is screaming. ]

[ Ruby realizes all too late what's happening, that she's sharing the memory instead of just reliving it herself. Her hands fly to cover her mouth as Yang pushes herself away from her, a strangled cry erupting form her throat. No, no, no - she didn't mean to -
Yang didn't know -
Yang didn't know, and Ruby had shown her.
She feels like she's going to be sick, like she she wants to get back in her bed and bury herself in blankets and sleep until she wakes up from this nightmare. But - hah. She's been wanting to wake up from this nightmare for months.
She would never wake up from it. ]
I-I'm sorry, I'm so sorry -
[ This isn't how she should have found out. Of course Yang's denying it. Who wants to believe that they're dead? ]
