Ugh, I don't know... I never wanted Ruby to feel like there was something wrong with being special.
[She pauses, frowning deeply as she anxiously cards the fingers of her left hand through a couple of loose blonde tresses on the side of her face. After a moment, she gives a humorless laugh, looking back at Jaune.]
You can't have it both ways, can you? [Sadly.] It's either hide something that's a part of you away to protect yourself or don't and accept the risks that come with it.
[Suddenly, she's briefly reminded of her partner and Blake's incredibly adorable but absolutely secret cat ears. It's not quite at all the same thing really, but the thought that Ruby and Blake are even somewhat alike in yet another aspect is amusing enough of a passing thought. It's enough to wring another rueful laugh out of her.]
