[In true RWBY fashion, we get Raven Branwen before we ever see Qrow.]
I don't think she likes anyone very much tbh.
[Is that petty to say? Yeah, that's probably petty to say.
She does not care.]
But I'm good thanks.
[....And then a minute later, like Yang had hesitated to send this part.]
I think if you just leave her alone you'll have nothing to worry about. She obviously doesn't want anything to do with any of us anyway.
[She's trying to phrase it as if she believes Ozpin is concerned for his own or others' safety, but she's actually more worried he might try to "fix" the disaster that is her relationship with her birth mother.
That or he'll somehow manage to figure out what actually happened to the Spring Maiden because haha, fuuuuuuuuu-]
[ ozpin knows he can't fix that mess. there's not much to do with raven, honestly, aside from know she is there and wait for raven to come to her own conclusions concerning her place in the world. ozpin can't force her to do anything, and he wouldn't force her to do anything even if he could. if raven wants to ignore her family and demonize him, then that's her prerogative. ozpin will let her find her path as she sees fit.
that being said, the students had requested that ozpin treat them as involved, with little to no lies or fanfare. he does intend to keep that promise, and yang, of all people, deserves to know his opinions concerning her own mother. ]
I don't think there's much to be done concerning her feelings of the rest of the people from Remnant, particularly with what she told me of what she last saw.
[ if raven is to be believed at all, which . . . well, experience has told ozpin she lies. ]
I simply wanted to ensure that her presence wouldn't cause you any additional difficulty than I'm sure it already has. The coming months within this place will likely be difficult for us all, depending on whether Raven wishes to talk, or if your uncle arrives.
To be perfectly honest, nothing's really changed between here and back home.
[Back home, she had a mom who could have visited her at any time she wanted, but chose not to and she...pretty much expects to be ignored here too. But she can also try not to be super salty at her former headmaster over this. It's not his fault her mom is the way she is. ...Not entirely anyway.
So she adds on the end of that.]
But I appreciate the concern.
[Something else in Ozpin's text is eating at her though and she starts to type out the question of "What did she tell you?". She stops before sending it though. It's too suspicious, too anxious. Raven wouldn't have dropped one of her last remaining secrets to Ozpin of all people anyway. Not even to spite her.]

Indeed, it is likely a much bigger "deal" to me than it is to you, in that Raven Branwen doesn't like me very much.
[ where the fuck is qrow, man. ]
So long as you're certain you're fine. I won't press.
[ but he is here, should she need him. ]
